I’m finally in Perth and it is beautiful. I should have internet at the base by tomaro but not for sure, right now I’m at the library there’s free internet here. I had my first day of training today and oh my word the woman is completely anointed. Her name is Shirley Brownhill and before she even knew about Jesus or God when she was in her teens God spoke to her autoably and then after 6 or 7months she learned who the voice was and gave herself to the Lord. Years after Shirley and her husband started the base in Perth for YWAM and this year God has spoken these verses over the base Rev. 22:1-8.
We talked today about evangelizing to different cultures and getting our minds out of "my culture is better, do things our way", instead we must redirect our hearts to fit the Kingdom of God culture. We talked about Unity as a body of Christians in the whole world. Unity is submitting our ideas and purposes to the ideas and purposes of God. Shirley told a testimony that awhile back YWAM went to this Muslim village and poured out to them showing them God's character and telling them the good news of the Gospel. Adventualy the entire village gave their lives to the Lord, praise God. Then later one of the leaders of the village asked a YWAMer "how long have you known this message?" the YWAMer replied, "we have known this message for 2,000 yrs", the leader then responded, "how come it took you so long to tell my people?". Most of us in response to that would say "I was afraid" because we have heard the radical nations out there who would even kill for what they believe, but really it’s not fear we don't go...its disobediance. These people are just as loved by God as your average "good" person on the streets and God commands us to go into ALL the nations not just the "safe" ones. This really brought to the light my own disobedience in my heart because honesty I am afraid (fear of man) to go to the radical nations in the world and though I haven’t yet been called to one it’s still in my heart and must be rooted out in order to love everyone without fear and in complete obedience and surrender to the Lord.
Also we will be street evangelizing a couple times a week, sometimes a couple times a day after lectures to use what we have learned to really show people the character of God. Prayer for wisdom of words and that the people we talk to that their hearts would be open and soft ready to hear the Truth of God’s amazing love for them. Prayer for my finances for this first phase of training is much needed as well. I still need $2,653 USD so any amount at all would be extremely helpful for me to be where God has sent me.
