Hey guys this is just an update of what Ive been doing in my life the last year in Youth With A Mission.
This first update is a rather long update because I would like to inform you of the amazing things God did in Mexico City the first time I went from Feb-March 2010. The school I just got done completing is called the Foundations for Counseling Ministry through Youth With a Mission based in Perth, Australia (www.ywamperth.org.au). I did training there for counseling in ministry for 4 months studying areas such as abuse, depression, addictions, eating disorders, guilt/shame/forgiveness, death/grief, trauma/terror/terrorism, spiritual issues and many other areas. Not only did I learn to talk to people through issues and help them find freedom but also dealt with issues in my own heart. My favorite week is when we studied the nature and character of God and realized in some areas I had a false view of Gods character and through finding the truth Ive had more freedom and intimacy in my relationship with Christ.
We also worked in a refuge community called Marabooka with people from Haiti, Iraq, Romania and all over in third world countries. We counseled and just brought Gods character and love to the community. We talked to Muslims, Hindu’s, Buddhists, etc. Also another team from Youth With A Mission worked in a juvenile detention center talking to young boys from 10yrs of age to 17yrs about Gods love and forgivness. They told them testimonies in our own lives and how God has brought us out of hard times. At the boys detention center 35 out of 60 boys gave their lives to the Lord.
OUTREACH PHASE
After 4months in Australia all the Youth With a Mission(YWAM) teams flew off to Mexico City. We worked with a ministry called Mega Cities. Their vision is to focus on one city God calls them to for a year and bring transformation and partnership with churches demonstrating the love of God to the people of the city in universities, churches, teaching English, preaching, counseling, music, dance, sports, art , serving, evangelism, and public proclamation. There are four waves that go into the city throughout the year and I was in the first wave. In just 7weeks there were over 500 people who gave their lives to the Lord. Many healings such as a blind woman healed, two women crippled stood up, walked and praised God becoming believers. Churches in Mexico City are beginning to step out in boldness to see transformation in their city. We learned that God had told a pastor that we had partnered with that God was going to bring foreigners to Mexico City to restore and transform. Gods eye is on Mexico City, the harvest is ready. Mega Cities ministry says in the 4th wave they see more people come to Christ, more healings, more transformation then the first 3 waves put together which is a huge joy for me sence God has called me to be apart of the 4th wave. God is MOVING, the fruit being bared is unbelievable. These are some verses God gave us for Mexico City: Psalms 79:9-11, Deut. 11:11-12).
FUTURE PLANS
Now God has led me to do the School of Evangelism(SOE)(in YWAM) in Perth, Australia for training for 3months then off to Mexico City for the 4th wave for 3months. In these next two months ill be support raising for this next missions trip and really trusting God to see my finances come through. I have my visa paid for and almost my plane ticket while still trusting for the other lecture fees of $3900 AUD and outreach fees to Mexico City. As you see that is a lot so please be praying for me that God will provide for me to go where He’s called me because without local believers prayer and financial support there would be no way to fuel the task of pioneer missions worldwide, you are the foundation so thank you for your help.
